Understanding your data model

The knowledge graph visualizes core entities and their interconnected relationships, creating a navigable map of your data ecosystem. This visualization serves three critical functions:

Documentation: The graph provides a comprehensive, visual documentation of your business entities, metrics, and their relationships. It captures definitions, calculations, and dependencies in one unified view that's more accessible than traditional documentation methods.

Observability: Through the knowledge graph, you gain clear visibility into how data flows between entities, which entities depend on others, and the complete lineage of your metrics. This observability helps troubleshoot issues, understand impact analysis, and identify optimization opportunities.

Governance: The graph supports data governance by providing a centralized reference for business definitions, calculation methodologies, and data ownership. It ensures consistency across the organization and helps maintain data integrity as your business evolves.

Before modifying the Semantic Fusion™ Model, take time to explore this graph to gain a holistic understanding of your current data structure and the semantic connections that drive your business intelligence.
