Check Chnages in the Semantic Catalog
Check Changes
The Check Changes feature detects structural drift between your live data warehouse and the existing semantic catalog.
When triggered, Jedify scans for changes at:
Table Level
- New or removed columns
- Changes to partitioning keys
- Changes to clustering keys
Column Level
- Columns added or removed
- Column type changes
What Happens After the Scan
Once the scan completes:
- Visual indicators and notifications highlight where changes were detected
- Affected items in the UI show icons or markers
- The catalog updates static metadata needed for accurate modeling
- New columns, if detected, are automatically added into the catalog structure
Check Changes does not update semantic logic, labels, grounding, or entity links—it updates only the structural metadata used by the catalog.
This ensures your semantic view stays in sync with the warehouse, even as schemas evolve.
